Who is fluxus?
fluxus is an art direction & creative production studio that works where art, culture, design and strategy meet.
Our focus is on helping brands find their voice, define their purpose and connect with people in meaningful ways. We start by understanding what’s already there — looking closely at your brand, your audience, your industry and the bigger picture. From that foundation, we build clear strategies and creative ideas that feel true to your brand and relevant to the world around it.
Our work takes many forms: brand identities, campaigns, visual systems, content and events. We think through the details and follow through on execution — whether that means a full project from start to finish or just support in one area.
We offer branding, art direction, design, content creation, campaign development, photo and video production, events and workshops.
The studio is led by Bob Reinert, a designer and artist with a background in communications design and media arts. He brings years of experience in design, art direction and creative consulting. Bob is also active in Luxembourg’s cultural scene, especially through the Géisskan Kollektiv, and regularly leads creative workshops and directs visual projects from start to finish.
Together with his brother Tom — who takes care of the analytic and business side of the studio — and many friends and connections with superpowers in their respective field, fluxus is a creative workforce!

Why fluxus?
Fluxus is an experimental art movement that emerged in the 1960s. This movement valued the process and the idea behind a work over the final product. Fluxus didn’t have a particular stylistic characteristic but was more of a shared attitude towards art. As a result, the artists associated with Fluxus came from a wide range of disciplines like music, design, sculpture, performance, video art, or conceptual art. Other important elements include an Do-It-Yourself mentality, democratic processes, multidisciplinary approaches and  collaborations, as well as humour and openness toward all people. Furthermore, “fluxus”or “flux” is used in various languages as a synonym for flowing, change, movement, transition, but also unrest and fluctuation.
These ideas, principles and values influence both our approach to work and our design process.
Why a black box?
“X” is an unknown!
A black box in science or computing is, by definition, a system in which input and output data can be observed without having any knowledge of its internal workings or structure. In short: an unknown process!
However in performance art and theatre, the black box refers to a square, black-painted space where artists and actors perform.
In fluxus, the black box represents the process and the endless possibilities of filling in the unknown.
